About Your New Job
- Design and development of new medical products.
- Product/process evaluation and associated record keeping.
- Selection of raw materials, components, and suppliers.
- Fabrication of prototypes and test products.
- Communication with customers/Project Managers regarding project progression.
- Resource for colleagues with less experience.
- Product and process continuous improvement activities.
- Other duties as assigned by the Manager.
- Adhere to company Health & Safety requirements.
What Skills You Need
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience in a medical device environment is advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing business needs.
- Motivated, self-starting with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good problem-solving skills.
- Ability to take ownership of tasks and bring them to successful conclusions.
- Knowledge of a high-end CAD system, ideally SolidWorks.
- Hands-on approach to designing and fabrication.
- Ability to work to strict international regulations regarding medical devices.
