The Role
Sigmar Recruitment is working with a global manufacturing organisation to recruit a Design Engineer to join their growing Design Department. This Design Engineer role offers the opportunity to work on innovative, user-centric products from concept through to production within a collaborative engineering environment. The successful Design Engineer will play a key role in new product development and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop user-focused products as a Design Engineer within a manufacturing environment
- Support R&D initiatives and explore new technologies relevant to the Design Engineer role
- Create access solutions and manufacturing aids using SolidWorks
- Provide CAD support and maintain ERP data accuracy
- Manage product data using PDM
- Work across multiple projects from concept to production
Design Engineer Requirements:
- Level 8 degree with 3–5 years’ experience working as a Design Engineer in manufacturing
- Strong SolidWorks skills (CSWP desirable) and PDM experience
- Excellent problem-solving and project management ability
- Experience with RTM, sheet metal, Adobe, and rendering software is advantageous
