About Your New Company

Our client is an established Irish construction contractor with a strong reputation for delivering quality projects across the commercial, residential, industrial and public sectors.

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, they are looking for an experienced Construction Estimator to join their Dublin-based team.

About Your New Role

You will play a key role in preparing competitive tenders and supporting the company's pre-construction and commercial activities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing detailed estimates and tender submissions.
  • Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation.
  • Carrying out quantity take-offs and measurements.
  • Preparing and issuing subcontractor and supplier enquiries.
  • Analysing and comparing quotations.
  • Identifying commercial risks, exclusions and opportunities.
  • Preparing pricing and cost breakdowns.
  • Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers and project teams.
  • Supporting project budgets and successful tender handovers.
  • Managing multiple tenders and deadlines.

What You Need

  • Relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction, Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years' experience in construction estimating.
  • Main contractor experience is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and pricing.
  • Excellent ability to read drawings and specifications.
  • Experience with quantity take-offs and subcontractor procurement.
  • Strong commercial, numerical and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency with relevant estimating and construction software.
