About Your New Company
Our client is an established and growing construction contractor with a strong pipeline of projects across Ireland. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Commercial Manager to join their senior management team.
About Your New Role
As Commercial Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the commercial management of multiple construction projects from pre-construction through to completion.
You will be responsible for:
- Managing project budgets, forecasts, cash flow and CVRs
- Procurement and management of subcontractor packages
- Contract administration, variations, claims and final accounts
- Identifying commercial risks and opportunities
- Preparing monthly cost/value reports
- Working closely with Project Managers, Contracts Managers and site teams
- Leading and mentoring the commercial team
- Supporting senior management with commercial strategy
What You Will Need
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics or related discipline
- 7+ years' construction experience
- Strong main contractor background
- Previous Commercial Manager or Senior QS experience
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts
- Excellent commercial and negotiation skills
- Experience with procurement, valuations, variations, forecasting and final accounts
