Commercial Manager – Equine Diagnostics
About Your New Employer
- A innovative leader in equine diagnostics, supporting veterinarians across Europe and the US with cutting-edge solutions.
- You'll join a people-first organisation, known for its strong reputation in the animal health industry and its collaborative, remote-first culture.
- Be part of a rapidly growing company, working directly with the CEO and shaping a key commercial function at a pivotal stage.
About Your New Job
- As the Commercial Manager, you will be the daily commercial engine of the business, owning relationships with veterinary customers and managing the distributor network at senior level.
- You will hire, train, and lead a small, focused inside sales team (US and Europe), setting escalation processes and delivering results.
- You will resolve escalated technical support issues, ensuring veterinary customers receive competent, empathetic service.
- You will equip, motivate, and manage distributor sales reps to ensure effective channel performance, reporting consolidated sales to the CEO, and facilitating sensitive commercial discussions while preserving strong relationships.
- The operational logistics (stock, expiry tracking, orders) are supported by an existing supply chain manager—you focus on the strategic relationship and leadership.
What Skills You Need
- Clinical or veterinary customer-facing background (ideally with small-animal commercial experience).
- Exceptional interpersonal judgement and composure—able to manage tough partner situations while strengthening relationships.
- Proven people-leadership skills or strong appetite to hire, train, and manage a small, targeted team.
- Confident with smartphone apps and connected devices; able to provide technical support and training as the escalation point.
- Willing and able to work a shifted day (3pm Irish time start) to cover US customers.
- Self-directed and reliable in a remote working environment, with openness to periodic travel to Ireland and key events (e.g., AAEP, December).
Additional advantages (not essential):
- Previous channel/distributor/partner management expertise.
- Experience in the equine veterinary sector.
- Additional European languages.
What's on Offer
- Competitive, senior-level salary commensurate with experience.
- Significant career opportunity with autonomy, influence, and growth potential.
- Full-time, permanent remote position based in Europe (UK, Ireland, Benelux, Germany, Scandinavia all suitable), working closely with an engaged international team.
