About Your New Job
- Programming, setting, and operating 3-axis, 5-axis, or multi-axis CNC lathes/mill-turn machines.
- Developing efficient toolpaths using CAM systems such as HyperMILL, Mastercam, or Fusion 360.
- Producing high-precision parts for aerospace and medical device applications.
- Managing tooling selection, work holding, fixture design, and machining strategies.
- Inspecting components using metrology tools and interpreting drawings/GD&T.
- Ensuring all work meets regulatory and customer standards.
- Optimizing cycle times, machining parameters, tool life, and workflow.
- Troubleshooting machining issues and implementing corrective actions.
- Working cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and production teams.
- Supporting ongoing process improvements and lean initiatives.
- Contributing to new product introductions and complex machining projects.
What Skills You Need
- 3+ years CNC machining/programming experience (milling, turning, or both).
- Experience in aerospace or medical device precision machining highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of machining aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, and Inconel.
- Ability to work to tight tolerances and complex geometries.
- Engineering apprenticeship or time-served toolmaker qualification beneficial.
- Strong understanding of ISO9001 / ISO13485 / AS9100 requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication skills.
