Our client is a leading engineering and environmental consultancy delivering major infrastructure, water and development projects across Ireland. They are seeking an experienced Clerk of Works to oversee construction activities on site, ensuring works are delivered in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards and health & safety requirements.

Responsibilities
- Carry out regular site inspections and monitor construction activities.
- Ensure works are being completed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and contract requirements.
- Monitor the quality of workmanship and materials being used on site.
- Identify and report defects, non-conformances and construction issues.
- Maintain accurate site records, inspection reports and photographic records.
- Monitor contractor progress and report on programme and site activities.
- Liaise with contractors, engineers, project managers and other project stakeholders.
- Review construction documentation and raise any issues requiring clarification.
- Monitor compliance with relevant standards, regulations and project specifications.
- Assist with snagging, testing, commissioning and handover activities.
- Attend site meetings and provide updates on construction progress and quality.
- Ensure health, safety and environmental requirements are being followed on site.
Requirements
- Relevant experience working as a Clerk of Works, Site Inspector, Site Supervisor or similar construction/site-based role.
- Experience on civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, quality control and contract documentation.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong reporting and record-keeping skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with contractors and project teams.
- Full clean driving licence.
- Relevant construction/civil engineering qualification is desirable.
- Experience within water, wastewater, roads or other public infrastructure projects would be advantageous.
