About Your New Job
- As the On-Site Buyer / Planner, you will oversee order management from start to finish, ensuring timely delivery and efficient follow-up to meet business objectives.
- You will collaborate with all internal departments including finance, stores, procurement, and other stakeholders to support seamless site operations.
- Your role will include analysing branch and product performance, optimising stock levels, coordinating supplier negotiations, and tackling problem stock or aged inventory.
- You’ll gather market and supplier intelligence, participate in meetings, and highlight successes and training needs across the team.
- Your ability to manage urgent requests, escalations, and maintain accurate records will be key to supporting ongoing operations.
What Skills You Need
- Third level qualification in a Purchasing-related subject is essential.
- Several years’ experience in a purchasing/procurement role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); knowledge of ERP systems is desirable.
- Strong numerical and analytical ability, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team and manage deadlines in a fast-paced setting.

- Standard hours: 8:15am to 5pm Monday–Thursday, 8:15am to 4pm Friday, with the option to work from home one day per week (typically Friday).
