Business Development Representative

About Your New Employer

  • Join a growing B2B SaaS organisation providing technology that helps home care and social care providers deliver safer, better-evidenced services.
  • Work for a purpose-led business operating across Ireland, the UK and Australia, in a market where technology can make a genuine difference.
  • Become a key part of the company’s growth engine, working closely with Marketing, Sales and Revenue Operations to build and scale a high-performing outbound function.

About Your New Job

As the BDR Team Lead, you will build, coach and manage an outbound demo-booking team. You will own the outbound engine from target account selection and messaging through to qualification, reporting and the handover of opportunities to Account Executives.

You will:

  • Recruit, onboard and coach a team of BDRs through regular one-to-ones, team stand-ups and call-coaching sessions.
  • Create structured ramp plans and clear development pathways from BDR to Senior BDR or Account Executive.
  • Own monthly and quarterly demo-booking targets across the organisation’s product portfolio.
  • Manage activity KPIs, funnel conversion rates, demo show rates and speed-to-lead performance.
  • Work with Marketing and Sales to define the Ideal Customer Profile and maintain accurate target account lists across the UK and Ireland.
  • Oversee list building, data sourcing, enrichment, HubSpot data quality and compliant outreach under GDPR and PECR.
  • Turn marketing campaigns, product launches and events into effective outbound sequences, scripts and talk tracks.
  • Test messaging and cadences, report on performance and share market feedback with Marketing.
  • Set and maintain qualification standards with Sales leadership, ensuring a smooth BDR-to-AE handover.
  • Own the BDR reporting suite in HubSpot, covering activity, sequence performance, conversion, sourced pipeline and forecast demo volumes.
  • Maintain HubSpot sequences, workflows, lead routing, templates and reporting dashboards.
  • Administer the BDR technology stack and budget while continually improving processes and removing unnecessary administration.
  • Agree annual and quarterly targets with senior leadership, build capacity plans and manage the team’s commission plan.

What Skills You Need

  • At least three years’ experience in sales development or business development within a B2B SaaS environment.
  • At least one year’s experience leading, mentoring or coaching a team, ideally an outbound or demo-booking team.
  • Strong, hands-on experience with HubSpot, including sequences, workflows, lead routing, lifecycle stages, lead scoring, custom properties, reports and dashboards.
  • A proven ability to coach and develop individuals while creating a high-performing team culture.
  • Strong outbound expertise, including multichannel cadences, written messaging and prospect engagement.
  • Confidence working with data, forecasting, target setting and funnel performance metrics.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across Marketing, Sales and Revenue Operations.
  • A practical understanding of GDPR and PECR as they apply to outbound prospecting.

Experience with the following would be advantageous:

  • RevOps or Sales Operations, including lifecycle design, SLAs, attribution, pipeline reporting and CRM governance.
  • HubSpot certifications, particularly Sales Hub Software, Reporting or RevOps.
  • Selling into the health and social care sector or another regulated market.
  • Diallers, data enrichment tools and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Commission plan administration.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or a related discipline.

What's on Offer

  • The opportunity to build and lead an outbound function within a growing, purpose-led SaaS business.
  • Significant ownership over team performance, sales development processes, technology and strategy.
  • A collaborative environment with close exposure to Marketing, Sales, Revenue Operations and senior leadership.
  • Competitive salary based on experience.
