About Your New Job as Business Development Manager
As the Business Development Manager – Managed Resourcing, you will drive growth by identifying and securing new business opportunities within our Managed Resourcing division. You will:
- Build and manage a robust pipeline of prospects and turn leads into new business, focusing on FTE, project, hybrid, and embedded resource models.
- Develop and present tailored workforce solutions to clients across the Life Sciences, Pharma, Biotech, and Medical Device sectors.
- Negotiate commercial terms, lead proposals, tenders, and client presentations, and ensure sustainable commercial growth.
- Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers, acting as a trusted advisor and supporting client account growth via upselling and cross-selling.
- Work closely with internal delivery, operations, and recruitment teams to ensure seamless onboarding, delivery, and long-term client satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate client and pipeline records in CRM and contribute to the continuous improvement of sales processes and market approach.
What Skills You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in a Life Science discipline (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Pharma Sciences) or a Business degree with experience in a technical/scientific field.
- Proven B2B business development track record in scientific services, contract resourcing, or managed workforce solutions.
- Experience negotiating contracts and selling into regulated industries (pharma, biotech, medtech) is an advantage.
- Results-driven, commercially astute, and experienced in solution-based selling.
- Strong communication skills and confidence working with senior stakeholders.
- Highly self-motivated, organised, and thrives in a fast-paced sales environment.
