An excellent opportunity has arisen to join one of Ireland’s leading M&E engineering contractors, delivering major projects across the data centre, commercial, pharmaceutical, healthcare and residential sectors.

With a strong pipeline of projects in Dublin and continued investment in Digital Engineering, the company is looking to add a BIM Technician to its growing BIM team.

Your New Role

As BIM Technician, you will work alongside BIM Coordinators, Engineers and Project Managers to support the production and coordination of high-quality mechanical and electrical models and drawings.

The role offers excellent exposure to large-scale projects and is particularly suited to someone looking to develop their BIM career within an established M&E environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Producing detailed mechanical and electrical models using Revit.
  • Preparing coordinated construction drawings and layouts from BIM models.
  • Supporting BIM Coordinators with multidisciplinary model coordination.
  • Assisting with clash detection and issue resolution using Navisworks.
  • Updating models throughout the design and construction stages.
  • Working from engineering drawings, specifications and design information.
  • Liaising with Engineers, BIM Coordinators and site teams to ensure models reflect construction requirements.
  • Maintaining project documentation and models within Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)/BIM 360.
  • Ensuring models and drawings comply with company and project BIM standards.
  • Supporting the production of as-built models and handover documentation.
  • Attending BIM and design coordination meetings where required.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Qualification in BIM, Building Services Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Architectural Technology or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience as a BIM Technician, Revit Technician or similar would be advantageous.
  • Good working knowledge of Revit.
  • Exposure to Navisworks, AutoCAD and ACC/BIM 360 would be beneficial.
  • An understanding of mechanical and/or electrical building services.
  • M&E contractor or building services consultancy experience would be particularly beneficial.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical information.
  • Strong attention to detail and willingness to develop technically.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary project team.
