About the Role

An established accountancy practice is seeking an experienced Audit & Accounts Senior to join its professional team. This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant with practice experience to develop their career across audit, accounts preparation, taxation and client relationship management.

You will work with a varied portfolio of clients and take responsibility for delivering high-quality accounting services within agreed deadlines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise audit and accounts assignments.
• Prepare statutory and audit-exempt financial statements.
• Complete audit working papers and supporting documentation.
• Prepare corporation tax returns and iXBRL submissions for review.
• Prepare budgets and cash flow projections.
• Manage day-to-day client relationships and respond to client queries.
• Deal with Revenue correspondence and assist with Revenue audits.
• Investigate accounting and audit issues and provide practical solutions.
• Ensure assignments are completed accurately, efficiently and on time.
• Support and train junior staff and student trainees.
• Prepare client reports, technical briefs and checklists as required.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a general accounting practice.
• Experience working at Audit Senior or Accounts Senior level.
• Strong knowledge of accounting and auditing standards.
• Experience supervising assignments and managing client relationships.
• Good knowledge of financial statements and accounts preparation.
• Strong organisational, analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced practice environment.
• Professional, dependable and client-focused approach.

Tax experience and knowledge of accounting, audit, working papers or practice management software would be an advantage.
