About Your New Job
- As an Audit & Accounts Senior, you will lead and deliver external audit engagements, manage audit fieldwork from planning to final sign-off, and handle statutory accounts preparation and file review under FRS 102/102A for non-audit clients.
- You will manage a portfolio of regional clients, serving as a key contact for local business owners, financial controllers, and directors in Dundalk and across Co. Louth.
- You will support tax compliance requirements including Corporation Tax, Income Tax, VAT, PAYE/PRSI and liaise with Revenue as part of audit and accounts assignments.
- You will supervise junior team members and ACA/ACCA trainees, reviewing work, providing training, and facilitating their progress toward qualification.
- You will identify and report on internal control and process improvements, delivering practical business advice to SMEs and local companies.
- You will ensure efficient file management, hitting deadlines, budgets, and quality/accountancy standards set by the practice.
What Skills You Need
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent) with valid permission to work in Ireland.
- 2–3+ years’ practice experience in Irish audit and accounts, including direct client-facing engagement and hands-on file management.
- Advanced knowledge of Irish GAAP (FRS 102/102A), ISAs (Ireland), and Companies Act requirements.
- Proficient in audit and accounts software (e.g., CaseWare, Relate, BrightPay, Surf Accounts, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication, time management, and mentoring skills, with a client-focused approach and local business insight.
