A prestigious and well-established hotel in County Offaly is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Wedding & Events Executive to support the continued growth of its busy weddings and events division. Known for exceptional guest experiences and premium events, the hotel offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic hospitality team.
About Your New Job as a Wedding and Events Executive
- Manage wedding and event enquiries from initial contact to final execution, converting leads into confirmed bookings while delivering exceptional customer service.
- Conduct site visits, prepare proposals/contracts/function sheets, and guide clients through event planning including menus, décor, layouts, and timelines.
- Coordinate closely with hotel departments and external suppliers to ensure seamless delivery of weddings, conferences, and events.
- Track deposits, contracts, and payments while identifying upselling opportunities to enhance client experience and achieve revenue targets.
- Represent the hotel at wedding fairs, trade shows, and client meetings while maintaining awareness of competitor activity and local market trends.
What Skills You Need
- 2+ years’ experience in weddings, events, or hospitality (preferably in a 4-star hotel) with strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a sales-driven, customer-focused approach.
- High attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to remain calm and proactive under pressure.
- Proficient in hotel/event management systems (e.g. Hotsoft or similar) with flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
- Professional, warm, and approachable personality; hospitality or event management qualification and knowledge of Irish wedding traditions/suppliers desirable.
