Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day operations of a warehouse team within a regulated manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Operations/Warehouse Leadership Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring operational targets are achieved, compliance standards are maintained, and team members are effectively supported and developed.

 

The Warehouse Supervisor will lead a team of warehouse operatives, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, sampling, dispensing, inventory management, and distribution of materials and finished goods. The role requires a strong focus on safety, quality, regulatory compliance, continuous improvement, and people management.

 

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management

  • Allocate and coordinate personnel resources across warehouse activities.
  • Ensure materials are received, stored, sampled, dispensed, processed, and dispatched efficiently and accurately.
  • Oversee inventory control activities, including cycle counting and stock accuracy.
  • Ensure inventory transactions are completed promptly and materials are issued in line with stock rotation principles.
  • Maintain accurate warehouse transactions within the organisation’s ERP system.
  • Coordinate incoming material sampling and material dispensing activities to support production requirements.
  • Supervise finished goods dispatch and shipping documentation processes.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all warehouse activities in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Liaise with Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, Maintenance, and other relevant departments to support operational effectiveness.
  • Conduct routine warehouse inspections and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure operational areas remain compliant, secure, and audit-ready.

Compliance, Safety & Quality

  • Promote and enforce quality standards, safety procedures, housekeeping requirements, and security protocols.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Escalate and support the resolution of operational issues, deviations, incidents, and non-conformances in accordance with established procedures.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance warehouse efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Monitor operational performance indicators and support achievement of business objectives and strategic goals.

People Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of warehouse operatives.
  • Set clear expectations and support employee development through mentoring, training, and performance management.
  • Conduct performance reviews and contribute to compensation and development recommendations.
  • Ensure completion and maintenance of all mandatory and role-specific training requirements.

 

Education

  • Third-level qualification in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Materials Management, or a related discipline is desirable but not essential.

 

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a regulated manufacturing, pharmaceutical, life sciences, medical device, or similar environment.
  • Previous experience supervising or leading warehouse teams.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and automated inventory control systems.
