About Your New Job as an Urban Design Graduate
- As an Urban Design Graduate, you will contribute to the design and delivery of impactful urban projects, working closely with senior architects and multidisciplinary teams to shape sustainable and vibrant spaces.
- Participate in the development of project layouts, masterplans, and urban public spaces, ensuring that proposals respond to community needs, site context, and planning guidance.
- Use Revit to prepare clear and accurate models, drawings, and visualisations to communicate design intent at various project stages.
- Collaborate with others on design presentations, planning applications, and documentation, supporting the team in delivering high-quality outcomes.
- Engage regularly with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders, gaining exposure to a range of project processes and contributing to positive project delivery.
What Skills You Need as an Urban Design Graduate
- Around 2–3 years’ experience in urban design, architecture, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Revit is essential, with the ability to develop detailed models and visualisations independently.
- Good understanding of urban design principles and Irish planning policy/guidance.
- Ability to communicate ideas effectively—both visually and verbally—and work well within multi-disciplinary teams.
- Familiarity with preparing planning documentation, public realm/landscape layouts, and urban-related project drawings.
- Initiative and willingness to learn, with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
