Our client is a NGO based in Dublin 7. They are currently looking to bring on a part-time Training and Support Officer, working mostly remote with a requirement to come into the office twice a month.
This role will also include traveling across different areas in Ireland, therefore, must have a clean, full drivers license and own vehicle.
About Your New Job
- Prepare training and support materials for officers and other volunteers
- Manage the provision of training sessions
- Liaise with external training providers as required
- Promote training sessions and recruit participants
- Evaluate, assess and improve training programmes based on participant feedback
- Liaise with, and support Regional and Area Officers in their roles
- Provide reports to the CEO and the officers on each training session
- Review and update current guidance documents and draft new topics and issues of benefit to officers
- Identify and support the development of people with potential in the organisation
- Deliver presentations at national and regional meetings and events
- Manage the training and support budget and report to the Finance leadership and CEO on expenditure and data.
What Skills you need:
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar role within a non-profit organisation, this experience can be paid or voluntary
- Experience of supporting and developing members and/or volunteers
- Strong communication skills
- Excellent English writing skills
- Highly organised individual with ability to manage own time and multi-task
- A full clean licence with own car & able to travel extensively throughout Ireland
- Competent in use of MS Office suite and Zoom/MS Teams
- Resident in Ireland and with a full work permit
- Desirable Skills:
- Experience of working in a membership-based organisation
- Experience of volunteering
- Strong writing and literacy skills
- Experience of using CRM tools, especially Salesforce
