Job title: Transport Planner Trainee
Job location: On site, Moycullen, Galway.
Working hours: 1pm to 10pm (including one hour for lunch), Monday to Friday and one Sunday per month

The ideal Transport Planner Trainee candidate:
The successful applicant will have great organisational skills and the ability to work on a variety of admin tasks in a busy environment. Tasks such as; scheduling, organising and prioritising workloads and drivers.
The Job Responsibilities:
- Track and monitor driver hours to ensure compliance with legal regulations.
- Must be a quick thinker, super-efficient and be able to work under pressure.
- Must have an excellent manner when dealing with customers and other employees.
- Asset management with a focus on efficiency.
- Liaise with customers re job bookings and customer care.
- Resolve any delivery or collection issues in the most efficient way possible.
- Plan workload effectively and communicate work to drivers in an accurate and timely manner.
Skills needed for this role:
- Willingness to learn.
- Good communications skills on email and verbally.
- Geographical knowledge of Ireland and UK.
- Knowledge of driver’s tachograph rules would be very beneficial but this is not essential.
- Computer literacy and knowledge of standard software packages (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
- Experience in working within a team environment
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work and remain friendly in a fast-paced environment
- This role will suit applicants that live close to Moycullen as public transport can be minimal and traffic into and out of the city at rush hour is very heavy.
