About Your New Job
- As a Traffic Warden, you will play a vital role in keeping local communities safe and accessible, patrolling key areas in Fingal or Dun Laoghaire and upholding parking regulations.
- You will be a visible, friendly presence on the streets—resolving queries, offering guidance, and handling challenging situations with confidence and diplomacy.
- You will start each day at a local depot with a supportive team, collecting your equipment before heading out on foot (or with your own vehicle for Fingal), covering a variety of routes and engaging with the public.
- You will issue fine notices, maintain clear and accurate records, and escalate issues as needed, making a positive impact on public safety and mobility.
- You will perform light administrative duties and have opportunities to further develop your communication, conflict management, and customer service skills.
What Skills You Need
- Full Irish driving licence with fewer than 6 penalty points (required for Fingal role only); personal vehicle access for Fingal.
- Previous experience in customer service, security, social care, or similar roles with a strong focus on public engagement.
- Confident communicator who remains calm under pressure and can gently resolve conflict.
- Capable of working outdoors in all seasons, covering substantial distances on foot.
- Reliable, detail-focused, and able to work independently.
- Must be over 21 years old.
