About Your New Job
- As a Traffic Warden, you will patrol designated areas in Fingal County Council or Dun Laoghaire, enforcing local parking byelaws and the Road Traffic Act.
- You will interact face-to-face with members of the public on a daily basis, handling enforcement queries and addressing conflicts calmly and professionally.
- Your daily routine will include starting at the local depot, collecting paperwork and equipment, and heading out on foot or using your own vehicle (Fingal only) for the day’s duties.
- Key responsibilities include issuing fine notices, maintaining accurate records, preparing for court appearances when required, and escalating arising issues to management.
- You will act as the public face of parking enforcement, ensuring compliance and safety in the community.
What Skills You Need
- Full Irish driving licence with fewer than 6 penalty points (essential).
- Must use your own vehicle for the Fingal position.
- Comfortable with outdoor work, walking long distances, and driving when required.
- Previous experience in customer-facing roles such as social care, retail, or security.
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in administration.
