Our client is a well-established construction business currently working on a major commercial construction project in Dublin. Due to ongoing project requirements, they are now seeking an experienced and reliable Commercial Tiler to join their site team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tiler looking for consistent, long-term work on a professional construction site. The successful candidate will initially join on a long-term contract, with a genuine opportunity to secure a permanent position based on performance, reliability, and ongoing business requirements.
About Your New Job
As a Commercial Tiler, you will play an important role in the delivery of high-quality finishing works across the construction project. Working as part of an experienced site team, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces, setting out and installing tiles to a high standard while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in line with project specifications.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Preparing surfaces and accurately measuring and setting out areas prior to tiling.
- Installing ceramic, porcelain, stone, and other tiles across commercial areas, including walls and floors.
- Cutting and shaping tiles and applying adhesives, grout, and sealants to achieve a high-quality finish.
- Working from drawings, specifications, and site instructions where required.
- Ensuring all work meets the required quality standards and project deadlines.
- Working closely with other trades and site management to coordinate works effectively.
- Maintaining a clean and safe working area and following all site health and safety procedures.
What Skills You Need
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Previous experience as a Commercial Tiler within a construction or fit-out environment.
- Proven experience with wall and floor tiling on commercial projects.
- Strong knowledge of surface preparation, tile setting, cutting, grouting, and finishing techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality workmanship.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a busy construction team.
- A strong understanding of construction site health and safety requirements.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification are desirable/required for working on a construction site.
