About Your New Role
As Technical Services Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day activities of a technical support team, ensuring workloads, deadlines and operational requirements are effectively planned and delivered.
You will work closely with technical leaders, facilities teams and internal and external stakeholders to understand workload requirements, resolve competing priorities and ensure projects and services are delivered to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coordinate and supervise the daily activities of the technical support team.
- Plan, allocate and monitor workloads, deadlines and project deliverables.
- Act as a key liaison between technical leaders, facilities teams and internal and external stakeholders.
- Forecast workload requirements and coordinate resources accordingly.
- Work with senior stakeholders to resolve conflicting priorities and ensure business objectives are achieved.
- Provide guidance, coaching and support to team members to develop technical and operational capability.
- Use your experience and expertise to solve complex operational and technical challenges.
- Contribute to the development of new processes, standards and operational plans.
- Communicate complex information clearly and confidently to stakeholders at all levels.
- Influence decision-making and gain agreement where priorities or interests differ.
What You Need
- Mechanical Trade or technical qualification
- 5–8 years' relevant technical, engineering, facilities or operational experience.
- Previous experience in a supervisory, team leader or senior technical position.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- The ability to coach, mentor and develop team members.
- Good numerical and financial awareness, including the ability to work with percentages, fractions and other business-related calculations.
