About Your New Role

The Technical Engineering Manager will oversee the delivery of all technical services across a portfolio of corporate office sites. This role includes line management of a multi-disciplinary technical team, management of the CAFM system, oversight of technical supplier works, and support for projects from identification through pre-project planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee technical services and maintenance across corporate office sites, ensuring compliance with contractual, legal, and company standards
  • Line-manage a multi-disciplinary technical team, including performance management, training, and development
  • Manage CAFM system, recording maintenance schedules, completed works, and compliance data
  • Quality check internal and supplier works, tracking and resolving remedial actions
  • Monitor budgets, approve contractor invoices, and ensure accurate cost management
  • Act as primary contact for onsite staff and client representatives; provide operational reports and KPI updates
  • Support projects from identification through pre-project planning, ensuring accurate technical and risk information
  • Drive continuous improvement, innovative solutions, and collaboration across teams

What Skills You Need

  • It is ESSENTIAL that you are a Degree Qualified Engineer.
  • Leadership and line management experience with multi-disciplinary technical teams
  • Experience managing and using a CAFM system
  • Strong background in budget management, contractor management, and client liaison
  • Knowledge of Computerised Maintenance Systems (CMS)
  • Understanding of relevant legislation, health & safety regulations, and compliance standards
  • Experience managing multi-site corporate office portfolios
  • Experience supporting projects from identification through pre-project planning
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and reporting skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on value-added solutions
  • Strong change management skills and continuous improvement focus
