About Your New Job

As a Tax Associate, you will become a part of our client's tax team, reporting directly to the Tax Director and Tax Manager. The role primarily involves compliance work for both personal and corporate clients across various tax categories. This position is ideal for a proactive, self-driven individual with excellent organizational and technical skills, capable of managing multiple tasks to uphold professional standards.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing tax returns for income tax, corporation tax, capital gains tax, capital acquisitions tax, and VAT.
  • Conducting research, reviewing, and interpreting tax legislation and Revenue guidelines.
  • Assisting in the preparation of tax advisory reports and addressing client inquiries.
  • Maintaining ongoing communication with clients and Revenue.
  • Participating in client meetings alongside senior staff to develop one-on-one client interaction skills.
  • Performing other duties and tasks related to the role.

What Skills You Need

  • Qualified Tax Technician/Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA)/Part Qualified CTA.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a practice environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent technical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • A motivated team player committed to continuous professional development in the field of tax.
  • Proficiency in various taxation software and Microsoft Office.
