About the Role

A well established, multi-site retail and trade supply business is seeking an experienced Stock Controller to join its operations team.

This is a key role responsible for ensuring accurate stock management across multiple locations, supporting purchasing and branch operations and maintaining high levels of stock integrity and reporting accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and complete regular stock cycle counts across multiple sites
  • Monitor and reduce negative and aged stock levels
  • Maintain accurate stock records on internal systems
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and variances
  • Produce daily and weekly stock reports for management
  • Work closely with purchasing and branch teams to manage stock levels effectively
  • Support stock planning and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide administrative support to senior management as required
  • Ensure stock processes are followed consistently across the business

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in stock control or inventory management
  • Strong understanding of stock management processes and controls
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general IT systems
  • Strong numerical and analytical ability
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work across multiple stakeholders and departments
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Proactive approach to problem solving
