Due to ongoing project demands, they are now seeking an experienced Snagger to join their team on a busy residential development based in Kill Village, Co. Kildare.
About Your New Job
As a Snagger, you will play a key role in ensuring homes are completed to a high standard prior to handover. You will be responsible for identifying, documenting, and coordinating the correction of defects or unfinished works across residential units and communal areas.
This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to liaise effectively with site management and subcontractors to ensure all works are completed to the required quality standards.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out detailed snagging inspections across residential units and common areas.
• Identifying defects, incomplete works, and finishing issues across trades including carpentry, plastering, painting, tiling, and joinery.
• Recording and reporting snag items clearly to site management.
• Coordinating with subcontractors to ensure snag items are addressed efficiently.
• Re-checking completed snag items to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Assisting site management with tracking and closing out snag lists.
• Ensuring completed homes meet handover and quality requirements.
• Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
• Adhering strictly to all site health and safety procedures and wearing appropriate PPE at all times.
What Skills You Need
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Previous experience in a snagging, finishing, or quality control role on residential construction sites.
• Strong knowledge of finishing standards across multiple trades.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify defects quickly.
• A valid Safe Pass (essential).
• Manual Handling certification (essential).
• Good communication skills and the ability to liaise with trades and site management.
• Strong organisational skills to track and close out snag lists.
• The ability to work independently while maintaining high quality standards.
• Good reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
What’s on Offer
- €22.30 per hour.
• Monday – Friday, full-time hours.
