This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and reliable tradesperson looking for consistent work on a well-organised residential project. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and completing snagging works to a high standard, ensuring bathrooms are finished to the required quality before handover.
About Your New Job
As a Snagger, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of finishing and remedial works on residential properties in Ballintemple, Cork.
You will work independently and alongside other trades where required, ensuring all snagging items are completed efficiently, neatly, and to a high standard.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out general snagging and finishing works on residential properties.
- Replacing damaged or incorrectly fitted tiles.
- Completing mastic and silicone pointing to a neat, professional finish.
- Carrying out paint touch-ups and minor decorative repairs.
- Identifying and rectifying defects and finishing issues prior to handover.
- Working from snag lists, job sheets, drawings, and site instructions where required.
- Ensuring all completed works meet the required quality and finish standards.
- Using a tablet to record and update completed snagging works where required.
What Skills You Need
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Proven experience working as a Snagger or in a similar construction finishing role.
- Bathroom snagging experience is preferred.
- Good experience with mastic and silicone pointing.
- Experience carrying out paint touch-ups and minor finishing works.
- Your own tools suitable for carrying out snagging and finishing works.
- The ability to work from snag lists and complete works efficiently.
- Comfortable using a tablet to record and update jobs.
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in the quality of your workmanship.
- The ability to work independently and manage your workload effectively.
- Good communication and a professional approach on site.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
