Due to continued growth and ongoing project demands, they are now seeking an experienced Residential Site Snagger to join their team on a busy residential development based in Rush, North Dublin.
About Your New Job
As a Residential Site Snagger, you will play a key role in ensuring residential units are completed to a high standard prior to client handover. You will be responsible for identifying, documenting, and coordinating the correction of defects or unfinished works across houses, apartments, and communal areas.
This role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to liaise effectively with site management teams, subcontractors, and finishing trades to ensure all works are completed to the required quality standards and within project timelines.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out detailed snagging inspections across residential units and common areas.
- Identifying defects, incomplete works, and finishing issues across trades including carpentry, plastering, painting, tiling, flooring, and joinery.
- Recording and reporting snag items clearly to site management using snag lists and reporting systems.
- Coordinating with subcontractors and finishing teams to ensure snag items are addressed efficiently.
- Re-checking completed snag items to ensure they meet required quality standards.
- Assisting site management with tracking, updating, and closing out snag lists.
- Ensuring completed homes meet handover and presentation requirements.
- Supporting quality control procedures across the development.
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times.
- Adhering strictly to all site health and safety procedures and wearing appropriate PPE.
What Skills You Need
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Previous experience in a snagging, finishing, or quality control role on residential construction sites.
- Strong knowledge of residential finishing standards across multiple trades.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify defects quickly and accurately.
- Experience working on housing developments or apartment schemes preferred.
- A valid Safe Pass (essential).
- Manual Handling certification (essential).
- Good communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with subcontractors and site management teams.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage and track snag lists efficiently.
- The ability to work independently while maintaining high quality standards.
- Good reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
