They are now seeking an experienced General Operative to join their team on a busy site based in Ballyragget, Co. Kilkenny.
About Your New Job
As a General Operative, you will play a key role in supporting daily site operations and ensuring work progresses efficiently and safely. This is a hands-on position suited to someone with previous construction site experience who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Your main responsibilities will include:
• Assisting tradespeople and site management with daily construction activities.
• Carrying out general labouring duties including moving materials, unloading deliveries, and site clean-up.
• Supporting groundworks and other on-site tasks as required.
• Ensuring materials and tools are stored safely and securely.
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment in line with health and safety regulations.
• Operating basic tools and equipment where required (training provided if necessary).
• Adhering strictly to all site safety protocols and wearing appropriate PPE at all times.
What Skills You Need
To be successful in this role, you should have:
• Previous experience working as a General Operative or Labourer on a construction site.
• A valid Safe Pass (essential).
• Manual Handling certification (essential).
• Strong awareness of health & safety practices on-site.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
What’s on Offer
Successful applicants will be given the chance to work on landmark projects in Kilkenny. This role is from Monday – Friday 40 hours per week. After 40 hours, you will be paid an overtime rate. Upon completion of this contract, you may be giving the option to be made permanent.
