About Your New Job

As the Domestic Site Supervisor / Working Foreperson, you will:

  • Lead and coordinate site operations, balancing supervisory responsibilities with hands-on project delivery.
  • Work on-site alongside the team conducting carpentry, fit-out, and practical site activities—especially on smaller projects.
  • Use your carpentry skills and construction expertise to maintain high standards of workmanship, solve problems, and ensure successful outcomes.
  • Manage health & safety, oversee equipment maintenance, and uphold quality and commercial standards across the project lifecycle.
  • Support project scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination of subcontractors.
  • Prepare project documentation, reports, and progress updates and collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and vendors to resolve site issues.
  • Participate in site meetings, contribute to project planning and risk management, and embrace opportunities for professional growth.

What Skills You Need

  • Proven practical carpentry experience is essential.
  • Hands-on experience in construction, fit-out, or a similar site environment.
  • Ability to handle physical site work, materials, and equipment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Familiarity with construction management software/tools is an asset.
  • Willingness to work flexibly within small site teams and travel to various project sites in Ireland.
