About Your New Job
As the Domestic Site Supervisor / Working Foreperson, you will:
- Lead and coordinate site operations, balancing supervisory responsibilities with hands-on project delivery.
- Work on-site alongside the team conducting carpentry, fit-out, and practical site activities—especially on smaller projects.
- Use your carpentry skills and construction expertise to maintain high standards of workmanship, solve problems, and ensure successful outcomes.
- Manage health & safety, oversee equipment maintenance, and uphold quality and commercial standards across the project lifecycle.
- Support project scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination of subcontractors.
- Prepare project documentation, reports, and progress updates and collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and vendors to resolve site issues.
- Participate in site meetings, contribute to project planning and risk management, and embrace opportunities for professional growth.
What Skills You Need
- Proven practical carpentry experience is essential.
- Hands-on experience in construction, fit-out, or a similar site environment.
- Ability to handle physical site work, materials, and equipment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Familiarity with construction management software/tools is an asset.
- Willingness to work flexibly within small site teams and travel to various project sites in Ireland.
