Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to join their Building Services team on a major commercial construction project in Galway City.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional team and play a key role in the successful delivery of a large-scale commercial build.
Your New Role
As Mechanical Site Manager, you will manage the delivery of mechanical services on site from installation through to testing, commissioning and handover.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing mechanical works from installation through to project handover
- Coordinating mechanical activities with the project team, subcontractors and other trades
- Monitoring the programme and progress of mechanical installations
- Ensuring works meet project quality, safety and programme requirements
- Inspecting installations against approved drawings, specifications and quality plans
- Managing testing and commissioning activities
- Reviewing technical information and resolving coordination issues
- Supervising mechanical subcontractors and site teams
- Liaising with the Project Manager, main contractor, design team and client representatives
What You’ll Need
- A relevant mechanical trade or third-level qualification
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Site Manager, Mechanical Supervisor or Mechanical Construction Manager
- Experience delivering commercial construction or building services projects
- Strong knowledge of mechanical services installation, testing and commissioning
- Experience coordinating subcontractors and managing site activities
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications
- Excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills
- A strong understanding of health and safety and quality requirements
