Our client is a well-established and highly regarded construction contractor with a strong track record of delivering high-quality residential developments across Ireland. Due to ongoing project requirements, they are currently seeking an experienced and capable Site Manager to join a residential construction project in Drogheda.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Site Manager looking for an immediate contract position, with an initial 2-month contract and the potential for a permanent position offering long-term work for the right candidate.
The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing the day-to-day running of the residential site, ensuring the project is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required quality and programme standards.
About Your New Job
As Site Manager, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day management and coordination of the residential construction site. You will work closely with the Project Manager, subcontractors, trades, suppliers, and wider project team to ensure the smooth and successful delivery of the works.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the residential construction site.
- Coordinating and supervising subcontractors, trades, and site personnel.
- Ensuring works are delivered in line with the project programme, drawings, specifications, and required quality standards.
- Monitoring progress on site and addressing any issues or delays that may arise.
- Managing site logistics, including materials, plant, equipment, deliveries, and general site organisation.
- Ensuring all works are carried out in compliance with health & safety legislation and project requirements.
- Maintaining strong communication with the Project Manager, subcontractors, suppliers, and wider project team.
- Carrying out regular site inspections and ensuring a clean, safe, and well-organised working environment.
- Ensuring all necessary site documentation and records are maintained accurately.
- Supporting the successful completion and handover of the project.
What Skills You Need
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Previous experience working as a Site Manager on residential construction projects.
- A strong understanding of residential construction processes and site operations.
- Proven experience managing subcontractors, trades, and site personnel.
- Strong knowledge of health & safety requirements and best practices within the construction industry.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- The ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities on a busy construction site.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and managing issues on site.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- A strong work ethic, professional attitude, and ability to lead by example.
- A valid Safe Pass.
- Relevant site management qualifications and training are highly desirable.
