The successful candidate will join an experienced project team working on a distinctive outdoor infrastructure development in the Kylemore area of County Galway.
About Your New Role
As a Site Engineer, you will play an important role in the technical delivery of a new car park and walking trail incorporating an extensive boardwalk. This role requires strong setting out experience and a practical understanding of general civil engineering works.
Key responsibilities include:
- Setting out, levelling, and surveying works in accordance with project drawings and specifications.
- Supporting the delivery of car park layouts, walking trails, and boardwalk-related infrastructure.
- Coordinating and monitoring sewerage, drainage, and ducting installations.
- Assisting with foundation installations and water crossing works.
- Checking levels, dimensions, and alignment to ensure works meet the required standards.
- Working closely with the Site Manager, subcontractors, and wider project team to maintain progress.
- Identifying and resolving technical issues on site.
- Maintaining accurate site records and supporting quality and safety requirements.
What Skills You Need
- Previous experience as a Site Engineer on civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Strong setting out experience.
- Practical experience with sewerage, drainage, and ducting installation.
- Experience with foundations, car park layouts, and water crossings.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- A relevant engineering or construction qualification would be beneficial.
