About the Role
Due to continued expansion, the team is now seeking a Site Engineer to join the sales and project management department based in Tuam, Co. Galway.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend and contribute to client and site meetings, ensuring all aspects of each project are followed through to completion
- Assist in planning and designing site-specific solutions for complex events
- Support the preparation of quotations and monitor project budgets
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers for material and service requirements
- Collaborate with project managers to organise labour schedules, manage build and dismantle timelines, and assign resources
- Work closely with yard staff to address design details, site access, and technical essentials
- Prepare site-specific Method Statements and Risk Assessments as required
- Brief site supervisors and ensure accurate communication of job details
- Take an active role in project delivery, adhering to deadlines and budget constraints
- Support the handover process upon completion, including site visits as necessary
- Contribute to client invoicing and project close-out
- Monitor Health & Safety processes on site
- Assist with tender applications and work alongside internal teams
- Develop positive relationships with clients and suppliers through all interactions
- Maintain up-to-date technical data for marquee materials and structures
- Continuously enhance your skills by working closely with colleagues on project planning, costing, and delivery
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Level 8 degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Event Management, or a related discipline
- Minimum 5 years’ work experience on project sites, ideally in a similar sector
- Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team environment
- High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a background in collaborative work
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and deadline-oriented, with flexibility around changing priorities
- Open to receiving feedback and direction
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Full driving licence
Desirable Skills
- Experience in the construction or events management industry
- Land surveying knowledge
- Understanding of health and safety best practice
- Experience with Computer Aided Design (CAD)
