About Your New Job

As the Site Development Engineer you will:

  • Assist the Construction and Development Director moving projects forward from initial site checks and technical reviews through to completion.
  • Review engineering and architectural plans to make sure they are practical, cost-effective, and meet regulations.
  • Coordinate and manage teams of architects, engineers, and consultants.
  • Review and challenge engineering design proposals, infrastructure layouts, and construction methodologies.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of planning applications
  • Manage design development through pre-construction stages
  • Track construction progress and quality during the build, ensuring timelines are met.
  • Ensure compliance with Irish building regulations, BCAR requirements, Health & Safety legislation, and all relevant technical standards.
  • Manage the process of handing over completed projects to local authorities, including all required paperwork and stakeholder communication.

What Skills You Need

  • Qualification in Engineering (Civil, Structural or Building Services), Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
  • 8-12 years’ experience in engineering, project management, or development delivery within the Irish construction or property sector.
  • Strong understanding of engineering design, infrastructure delivery, and construction methodologies.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams.
  • Good working knowledge of Irish planning processes, building regulations, and BCAR compliance.
  • Strong commercial awareness and cost management capability.
