About Your New Job

As Service Manager, you will take full ownership of the service division, leading both the technical operations and commercial growth of the function.

You will:

  • Lead and develop the service team, overseeing scheduling, performance, and delivery of maintenance and service activities
  • Drive business development and revenue growth, identifying new opportunities and building long-term client relationships
  • Manage day-to-day operations including service coordination, resource planning, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and to high standards
  • Oversee financial performance including budgets, margins, and forecasting
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring high levels of service and repeat business

What Skills You Need

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in service, maintenance, or engineering roles within a mechanical / process engineering environment
  • Proven experience leading or supervising service teams, including scheduling, coordination, and performance management
  • Strong technical background in process systems (pumps, valves, HVAC, or similar) – ideally within pharma, food, beverage, or manufacturing sectors
  • Demonstrated ability in business development, including growing service revenue, identifying new opportunities, and managing key client relationships
  • Strong commercial experience with exposure to budgeting, margins, forecasting, and service performance (P&L responsibility desirable)
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills with confidence in a client-facing role, working closely with both customers and internal engineering teams
  • Full driving licence and willingness to travel across Ireland when required, including occasional overnight stays
  • Degree in Engineering, Mechanical, Process, or related discipline OR strong time-served craft background with significant industry experience
