About Your New Role
As a Senior Site Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal leadership role in managing technical and site operations for major civil and infrastructure works—specifically road and utility projects—ensuring that all activities are completed efficiently, safely, and to exacting quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Set out, level, and survey complex sites to align work with project drawings and specifications.
- Work as a site engineer on a large scale residential site on the outskirts of Galway city centre.
- Oversee and supervise site works, resolve advanced technical issues, and coordinate on-the-ground teams.
- Guide and mentor junior engineers, supporting team development and performance.
- Monitor project progress, ensure stringent quality compliance, and maintain robust site documentation.
- Oversee implementation of health and safety procedures at a senior level.
- Liaise with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to deliver project benchmarks.
What Skills You Need
- At least 5 years’ experience in a Site Engineer or Senior Site Engineer role within civil engineering or infrastructure.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, or a related field.
- Strong technical aptitude and proven ability to manage multiple site teams and complex site operations.
- Excellent organisational, advanced communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead and work collaboratively within fast-paced project environments.
