Senior Processing Engineer - Injection Moulding

About Your New Job

  • Implement and document processes: Transition new tooling programs, perform new mould and process improvement trials, troubleshoot production processes, and audit production set-ups.
  • Collaborate with teams: Work closely with Tooling Engineers and Scheduling to ensure timely scheduling of mould tests.
  • Improve existing processes: Use established systematic techniques to document and enhance processes on existing moulds.
  • Train and support: Assist in training new process technicians and mould setup personnel, and support investigations of reject products and corrective actions.
  • Continuous improvement: Participate in cost-saving and continuous improvement activities using Six Sigma Principles.

What Skills You Need

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in injection moulding processing.
  • Education: Relevant 3rd level qualifications, with a focus on plastics processing.
  • Technical knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of injection moulding processes, machines, robotics, and auxiliary equipment.
  • Standards and problem-solving: Knowledge of ISO standards, TQM, and GMPs, and the ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Communication and organizational skills: Ability to write reports, present information, and respond to questions from various stakeholders.
