Senior Payroll Manager position with a well-known business based in Kilkenny (hybrid working).
About Your New Job
- Managing outsourced payroll, your role will be to lead, mentor, and develop a team of Payroll Managers and Payroll Specialists, fostering a collaborative, high-performing, and client-centric culture.
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of multiple client payrolls, including ownership of a designated client portfolio, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and full compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Serve as the senior point of contact for complex payroll queries and escalations, while building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and key internal stakeholders.
- Drive payroll service strategy by promoting process optimisation, technology adoption, and continuous improvement initiatives, and contribute to cross-functional projects such as system implementations and compliance programmes.
- Support financial planning activities, including budgeting and resource allocation, while contributing to the growth and development of the payroll function and wider business.
What Skills You Need
- 8–10 years of payroll experience, including at least 3–5 years in a senior management role.
- Proven track record in managing outsourced payroll services, leading projects, and implementing process or system transformations.
- Third-level qualification in Payroll, HR, Finance, or related discipline (IPASS qualification essential).
- Strong leadership skills, including experience managing managers and large teams.
- Expert knowledge of payroll legislation and best practices, with high standards of integrity and professionalism.
- Stamp 4 or EU Passport required.
