About Your New Job
As the Senior Office Logistics Transport Coordinator, you will:
- Oversee the smooth daily operation of a busy logistics office, ensuring efficient administrative processes.
- Manage, support, and coordinate a team of office staff, allocating responsibilities and monitoring workloads.
- Liaise with transport teams, drivers, and management to ensure seamless delivery and compliance for equine transport across Europe.
- Respond professionally to urgent, high-stakes client requests, resolve complex problems, and maintain composure under pressure.
- Handle paperwork, compliance documentation, invoicing, and customer accounts related to international movements of high-value horses.
- Update internal systems (e.g. SharePoint, MS Word/Excel) in real time, especially during busy sales seasons.
- Demonstrate initiative and step up to lead when required, especially during peak periods or when senior management is offsite.
What Skills You Need
- Proven experience in office management, logistics coordination, or supervisory roles—ideally within a fast-paced sector.
- Strong problem-solving mindset, high energy, and ability to stay calm under pressure.
- Excellent organisational skills, leadership, and proactive communication.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office. SharePoint and Excel experience is a plus.
- Ability to navigate complex compliance paperwork and country-specific regulations.
- Professional client handling skills, capable of delivering options and solutions and managing high expectations.
- Equine industry knowledge or a genuine interest in horse logistics is essential.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and trial a day onsite before final commitment.
What's on Offer
- Salary: €45k for Senior, €37k for Junior level.
- Fully office-based role in Closutton, Bagnelstown, Co. Carlow.
- Working hours: 9am–5:30pm, 37.5 hours/week.
- Extra compensation: €100 gross added per weekend on-call (approx. once per 4–6 weeks).
- Additional holidays: 2 extra annual leave days for covering weekend shifts.
