About Your New Job
As the Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will:
- Lead and manage the full mechanical design process across projects of all sizes, consistently demonstrating client care and engineering best practice.
- Oversee quality control of mechanical engineering deliverables within and across offices, ensuring adherence to standards and client expectations.
- Coordinate and manage project teams and cross-functional teams, exercise project cost control, and respond to technical challenges with sound engineering judgment.
- Represent the company at client meetings, site surveys, and training sessions, and collaborate closely with colleagues across offices for project success.
- Apply expert knowledge in mechanical design, support the integration of other building disciplines, and contribute to technical decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
What Skills You Need
- Degree level in Mechanical Engineering or Equivalent.
- 3+ years’ consultancy experience in building services design, with expertise in detailed design delivery across the full project lifecycle.
- Advanced knowledge in: Water Services, Heating / LTHW, HVAC, Fuel Systems, Above-Ground Drainage, BMS.
- Strong understanding of Irish building regulations (TGD B, F, G, L) and demonstrated ability to apply these in project environments.
- Experience with Microsoft Office; thermal and dynamic energy modelling, commercial sector, and BIM experience are advantageous.
- Effective team leadership and project management skills, commercial awareness, attention to detail, and strong interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritise tasks, and drive project performance.
