About Your New Job
As the Senior Formulation Specialist – Global NPD, you will:
- Lead formulation development from concept through to commercial launch for both ingestible and topical products.
- Own formulation architecture, product specifications, ingredient feasibility, stability strategy, and technical execution.
- Act as the technical authority with external partners—including CDMOs, consultants, and testing labs—defining requirements and ensuring compliance.
- Partner with Regulatory teams to ensure formulation decisions align with global regulatory frameworks (US, EMEA, APAC, etc.).
- Oversee pilot production, identify formulation risks, and support the transition to commercial batches.
- Drive innovation by evaluating new ingredients, technologies, and contributing to future product pipelines.
What Skills You Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, Food Science, Cosmetic Science, or related field.
- 8+ years’ experience in formulation development (nutrition, supplements, or cosmetics).
- Experience working with CDMOs and managing pilot-to-commercial scale-up.
- Strong understanding of ingredient functionality, stability principles, and working in regulated environments.
- Familiarity with ISO9001, ISO22716, & GMP CFR 111 standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a global team, adapting to shifting priorities.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% per year.
- Experience in both ingestible and topical formulations preferred; candidates with strong experience in either are welcome if able to develop in the other category.
