About Your New Job
As the Senior Electrical Engineer, you will:
- Lead and deliver electrical engineering design packages across all project stages, ensuring outputs meet accuracy, coordination, and quality standards.
- Manage the full electrical design process for projects of all sizes, apply engineering judgement, and resolve complex technical challenges.
- Guide and mentor junior engineers, supporting their technical growth and daily activities within the team.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated project solutions and attend design meetings, workshops, and site visits as required.
- Take responsibility for your deliverables’ quality and commercial performance, while promoting consistency and best practice across project outputs.
- Assist BIM and modelling teams to produce coordinated 3D models and detailed drawings.
- Engage with clients and stakeholders, contribute to technical input from concept to construction, and maintain the company’s professional reputation.
- Support the implementation of new engineering processes, tools, and systems, and demonstrate leadership both internally and externally.
- Maintain and promote environmental standards in accordance with the company’s EMS and sustainability commitments.
What Skills You Need
- Minimum degree level in Electrical Engineering or Equivalent.
- 3+ years of building services consultancy design experience, with proven ability to deliver detailed designs through the full project lifecycle.
- Expert knowledge in electrical design: Lighting & Emergency Lighting, Small Power and Data, Fire Alarms, CCTV & Intruder Alarms, MV/LV Power Distribution, Containment, and BMS.
- Advanced user of Amtech, Relux/Dialux; BIM experience advantageous.
- Strong understanding of other building disciplines and their integration with electrical design.
- Track record of effective leadership, commercial awareness, and project management.
- Excellent attention to detail, interpersonal skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects and competing priorities.
- Chartership desirable.
