About Your New Job
- As Senior Commercial Underwriter you will manage the underwriting and management of Property, Liability and Commercial Combined portfolios for direct and broker channels, as well as covering new business, renewals, mid-term adjustments in line with risk threshold and underwriting standards.
- You will review and assess portfolio performance, pricing sufficiency and risk exposure to drive profitability, improve retention and support the delivery of financial and operational objectives.
- You will manage day-to-day portfolio activity including renewals, policy issuance, insurance surveys, reinsurance support and accurate file maintenance, ensuring full compliance with legislative, regulatory and audit requirements.
- As Senior Commercial Underwriter you will develop effective relationships with direct and broker clients, provide technical underwriting guidance and training and mentor junior underwriters.
What Skills You Need
- Demonstrated expertise in managing and underwriting Property, Liability, and Commercial Combined portfolios.
- Skilled in analysing portfolio performance, assessing pricing adequacy, and evaluating coverage to support financial objectives.
- Strong ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients and brokers, provide guidance and training to team members, mentor junior underwriters, and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders.
