Senior Architectural Technologist

About Your New Employer

Join a well-established Dublin-based architectural practice with decades of experience delivering innovative, high-quality projects across complex and large-scale developments.

The practice is expanding its portfolio of major projects, including data centres and other technically demanding developments. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative, design-led team and play a key role in the technical delivery of projects from design development through to construction and completion.

You will work alongside experienced Associates, architects, engineers, consultants, contractors and other project stakeholders. The practice offers a supportive environment where your technical expertise, coordination skills and project delivery experience will be highly valued.

The practice offers:

  • The opportunity to work on major data centre and large-scale development projects.
  • Exposure to technically complex projects with significant design, coordination and delivery requirements.
  • Involvement across the full project lifecycle, from early design development through to construction and completion.
  • The opportunity to take ownership of key technical packages and lead technical coordination.
  • A collaborative working environment with access to experienced senior professionals.
  • Clear opportunities for professional development and career progression.
  • The chance to contribute to high-value projects with national and international significance.

About Your New Job

As a Senior Architectural Technologist, you will take a leading role in the technical development and delivery of data centre and other large-scale development projects.

Working closely with the Associate, design team and wider project consultants, you will be responsible for managing technical information, coordinating multidisciplinary inputs and supporting the successful delivery of projects through all relevant stages.

You will be expected to provide technical leadership within the project team while maintaining a strong focus on quality, compliance, coordination and buildability.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the technical delivery of data centre and other large-scale development projects.
  • Developing detailed architectural information from design development through to construction.
  • Preparing and coordinating technical drawings, specifications, construction details and project documentation.
  • Managing key technical packages and ensuring information is delivered in line with project programmes.
  • Coordinating architectural information with structural, civil, MEP and other specialist consultants.
  • Working with multidisciplinary teams to resolve design, technical and construction-related issues.
  • Ensuring project information complies with Irish Building Regulations, planning requirements, fire safety requirements and relevant industry standards.
  • Reviewing drawings and technical information to ensure accuracy, coordination, quality and buildability.
  • Liaising with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers and other project stakeholders.
  • Attending design team meetings, technical workshops, site inspections and construction meetings.
  • Supporting the preparation of tender and construction documentation.
  • Assisting with the review of contractor information, technical submissions and requests for information.
  • Monitoring project progress and reporting technical risks, coordination issues and delivery updates to the Associate or Project Lead.
  • Supporting and mentoring less experienced architectural technologists and contributing to the development of technical standards within the practice.

This role would suit a Senior Architectural Technologist with strong experience delivering technically complex, large-scale projects. Previous experience working on data centres, industrial, commercial, pharmaceutical, infrastructure or other highly serviced developments would be highly advantageous.
