Our client is a well-established building and plumbing contractor with ongoing work across domestic projects in Dublin. Due to continued demand and a strong pipeline of work, they are now seeking an experienced and fully qualified Registered Gas Installer (RGI) to join their team on a long-term basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced RGI Plumber looking for stable, permanent employment with consistent domestic work. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out gas installation, servicing, maintenance, and plumbing works to a high professional standard while ensuring full compliance with Irish gas safety requirements.
About Your New Job
As an RGI Plumber, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of domestic gas and plumbing works across residential properties in Dublin. You will work independently and alongside other trades where required, ensuring all installations and maintenance works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the required standards.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out domestic gas installation, servicing, maintenance, repair, and commissioning works.
- Installing, connecting, testing, and maintaining domestic gas appliances and associated pipework.
- Working on boilers, cookers, fires, and other domestic gas appliances where suitably qualified.
- Carrying out gas safety checks, testing, fault finding, and diagnostics.
- Identifying and resolving gas and plumbing faults efficiently and professionally.
- Completing required certification and documentation accurately following completed gas works.
- Working from drawings, specifications, job sheets, and site instructions where required.
- Liaising professionally with homeowners, site management, contractors, and other trades.
What Skills You Need
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Current RGI (Registered Gas Installer) registration and the appropriate qualifications to carry out domestic gas works in Ireland.
- Proven experience working as an RGI Plumber within domestic environments.
- Strong practical experience with domestic gas installations, servicing, maintenance, testing, and fault finding.
- Good knowledge of domestic plumbing systems and general plumbing practices.
- Experience working with domestic boilers and gas appliances.
- A strong understanding of Irish gas safety requirements and safe working practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship.
- The ability to diagnose problems and complete works efficiently and professionally.
- Good communication and customer-facing skills.
- The ability to work independently while also cooperating effectively with other trades and site personnel.
- A full, clean driving licence is highly desirable.
- Safe Pass and Manual Handling certification are desirable where required for site-based works.
- Reliability, punctuality, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.
