About Your New Job
As the Project Manager, you will lead the successful delivery of Solar PV and MV electrical projects from design and procurement through to commissioning and handover.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing the full project lifecycle across Solar PV and MV infrastructure projects
- Coordinating engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and client handover activities
- Managing project schedules, budgets, subcontractors, risk registers, and reporting
- Reviewing solar PV system designs, SLDs, and MV electrical layouts
- Supporting site activities including energisation, troubleshooting, and commissioning support
- Working closely with utilities, clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal project teams
- Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to a high-quality standard
This is a hybrid role typically involving:
- 2 days working from home
- 2 days office based
- 1 day onsite/project visits
What Skills You Need
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- 5+ years’ experience within project management across Solar, electrical, renewable energy, or power infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of Solar PV systems and MV electrical infrastructure
- Experience managing subcontractors, technical teams, and project delivery activities
- Good knowledge of EPC project delivery and construction processes
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and maintain strong client relationships
The following would also be advantageous:
- MV electrical experience
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification
- Experience with utility-scale or commercial Solar PV projects
- Familiarity with MS Project, Primavera, or technical drawing reviews
