Regional Manager – Southwest (Cork & Kerry) | Charity Organisation (12-Month Contract)

About Your New Job

  • As Regional Manager, you’ll lead and support a team of advocates, managing complex casework and acting as the go-to person for challenging scenarios in Cork and Kerry.
  • Oversee, supervise, and develop regional advocates, ensuring best practice and quality standards are met across all ongoing cases.
  • Personally manage a portfolio of more complex cases, stepping in for urgent situations as required.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders in social care, healthcare, and legal services to ensure the best outcomes for clients.
  • Regularly travel across your region to attend meetings with clients, families, nursing homes, and hospital partners.
  • Work from home, with flexibility to attend events and provide support outside the usual working hours.
  • Safeguard and promote the interests of vulnerable adults, addressing issues like elder neglect, financial matters, and family concerns.

What Skills You Need

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience managing and supporting teams, ideally within social care, healthcare, human rights, or legal sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of advocacy, safeguarding, capacity/decision making, and the dynamics unique to not-for-profit/charity organisations.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills; ability to influence and build relationships across multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive situations and make tough decisions, with resilience and empathy at the core of your approach.
  • Full driver’s license, access to a car, and willingness to travel across Cork and Kerry.

  • Salary based on experience: €50,000–€62,000, with clear potential for progression to a permanent contract.
