About Your New Job
- Assist refrigeration engineers with the design and development of telecom and edge computing cooling systems, including support with component selection, piping layouts, P&IDs, and preparation of production documentation.
- Carry out installation, commissioning, testing, and validation of cooling equipment on-site and in the workshop, ensuring systems operate safely and meet performance requirements.
- Support controls and electrical engineers during commissioning activities to verify safe and reliable system operation under all operating conditions.
- Assist production teams with refrigerant handling, leak testing, quality inspections, and end-of-line testing procedures in line with low-GWP F-Gas regulations and company standards.
- Maintain technical records, service documentation, BOM updates, supplier information, and SAP material data to support manufacturing, purchasing, and project delivery activities.
- Provide technical support during project execution, including fault finding, customer site troubleshooting, installation assistance, and participation in project and design review meetings with internal teams and clients.
What Skills You Need
- Level 6 National Craft Certificate Apprenticeship in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, or equivalent qualification.
- Strong HVAC/refrigeration knowledge with experience in component selection, piping layouts, and F-Gas compliance/regulations.
- Hands-on experience testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and repairing refrigeration/cooling equipment both in-house and on customer sites.
- Ability to produce technical documentation including P&IDs, BOMs, datasheets, manuals, and support product release processes using SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Strong understanding of low-GWP refrigerants, refrigeration regulations, quality standards, and production support within manufacturing environments.
