About Your New Role as a Quantity Surveyor
In this role, you’ll take ownership of the financial and contractual elements of multiple mechanical and electrical projects. Key responsibilities will include:
• Developing and controlling project budgets and cost plans, as well as preparing contracts
• Evaluating and costing changes, variations, and additional works
• Collaborating closely with clients, contractors, and internal teams to ensure clear and accurate financial reporting
• Conducting cost analysis, value engineering, and managing project risks throughout all phases
• Keeping all financial records up to date, while ensuring alignment with relevant industry standards and guidelines

What Skills You Need as a Quantity Surveyor
• At least 3 years’ experience as a quantity surveyor within mechanical/electrical contracting or construction
• Third-level qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or related discipline
• Strong track record in cost management and commercial negotiation on complex projects
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities
• Knowledge of contract management, cost control systems, and industry standards is a plus
